BIOFAST

Marine origin porous ceramic biomaterial obtained from shark teeth. Among its properties, it has physicochemical and morphological characteristics similar to bone tissue (it resists acidic exposure and favors and stimulates the colonization and proliferation of bone cells), in addition to being obtained from a sustainable fishing sub-product. Used as sanitary material with biomedical applications in specialties such as dentistry, traumatology, and in orthopedic and maxillofacial surgery (metal prostheses osseointegration, consolidation of bone fractures, filling of bone defects, spinal fusion…).
